It'd been a little crazy over here lately! My siblings are back and the festive mood is on and we are all so busy celebrating it feels weird to go on with a normal schedule recently!
End of the year are always a time I look forward too, it meant reunion and celebration to me!
So this year, I'm so happy we got to get together for a short trip to Sekeping, Serendah! Thanks to my cousin who made it happen!
A little short introduction, from left, my brother in law, my sister, my cousin sister, my brother, and that's my cousin brother being a gentleman serving us soup!
All my favorite people in one photo!
Before we move on further, here's a short intro or verdict of the place we visited.
Sekeping, Serendah was beautiful, although not so much of a child friendly nor an elderly friendly environment...it was very beautiful and a great place to relax for friends or couples alike (not so much when you are the parent to the child, which means you'll be 24 hours alert because there are WAY too many holes and open space that your child might fall into!)
The place have this quirky pipes everywhere and it's the first detail I notice (Although you might argue that this detail is pretty hard to miss) It use to be an old factory of some sort and the designer cleverly designed the place to be decorated with old rusty parts of machines everywhere, giving off the 'kampung' vibe yet very modern at the same time.
For a more practical point of view, I was more than glad that throughout the whole night there wasn't much mosquitoes around, even my little boy only earn himself one small bite in the early morning and that's that! I was very impressed because the beds are all designed and placed in an open concept!
But
on the other hand, because it's all so artistic and quirky, they had
this system where you have to ring the big bell in the hall if you need
any assistance or help from the person in charge. It was pretty cool
when we first arrived, well, you know, big bells and all, we don't see
them much in the city.
When the night arrived though, the electricity over at our place suddenly got cut off and we tried ringing that bell for help, and our neighbors from the other side noticed this and even helped us by ringing their bell to no avail! We tried this for like 7-10 times and still no one came to assist us! I can only wonder what can happen to us if we were faced with emergency situations and we can only rely on that damn bell for help! (No, they don't offer you numbers or anything like that)
Lucky for us though, our neighbors were awesome and way too kind! They actually helped us find the main and got our electricity back! Thank you dear strangers!
The people in charge came in the morning and after we complained, he said they were all already asleep...really? No shifts for someone to stay awake and make sure everything is running smoothly? And it was only around 11pm when we ring those bells!
Okay, switching away from all that negativity, here's one more photo of how awesome that place looked! Now I wouldn't argue about that at all!
So beautiful the little boy dance away to his Gangnam Style and perform as if it was his concert! I'm thankful that Jasper enjoy outdoors and have this experience of living in the green for a day!
It was fun, hanging around with no internet connection and conversing with one another the old fashion way! We even had barbeque and steamboat for dinner and the food was delicious, thanks to all our moms!
Then of course, thanks to the hub for looking after Jasper otherwise I'd be dead looking after him alone! Little boy got so sticky to his dad after the trip!
They had a swimming pool area and the boys went off to swim!
After dinner, it was game time! Usually this task is taken charge by our cousin, Chi Yan (She's the party girl among us!) but because she's all stress out for another party the next day, I took over and kept my finger crossed that everyone will have fun!
They started with a round of passing the presents and the punishment were simple enough for the young and the old! Even Jasper manage to perform his punishment which was to sing a jingle!
Uncle Robert dragged Jasper into his punishment, dancing Gangnam Style!
(Who am I kidding, the boy will jump out and join in the dance anyhow)
There were other games but no photos because I was too busy handling those competitive big kids and small adults! This one is one I found in Pinterest, balancing ornaments on tissue rolls and straws!
The super competitive team! They got the victory and they were proud!
Love the united pose!
After the games, it was the gift exchange time and this is a shot I took from the morning! Chi Yan brought over her mini trees and they all look so adorable with the presents! I love that this year we can surround our gifts around a real tree trunk! :P
The kids with their gifts and I got a pink owl from the cousins! This is just one of the many gifts we received, but I guess you all know who's the biggest winner for the night...
This little boy of course! Thank you all so much for loving my boy and pampering him!
I made a frame to bring along and everyone had a little fun with it!
They were all enjoying the mistletoe frame until...
These two big boys found out the little secret behind it, boobs and little balls!
I think I cried out loud, but I had to agree they were right!
Lotsa hugs and kisses and smiles nonetheless!
And surely, A family photo with all of us in it...except for my little brother who's snapping the photo!
Hope you'd yourself a Merry Christmas!
It's New Year next!!!
Love,
Beii
